PORTLAND, Maine. Democratic Secretary of State Shenna Bellows removed former President Donald Trump from the State’s primary presidential ballot for his role in the January 6th protest that turned violent at the U.S. Capitol.

Shenna Bellows is the first secretary of State in US history to disqualify Presidential candidate from a State ballot, Donald Trump and his legal team did appeal her action to the US Supreme Court which according to most Constitutional law experts will more than likely be overturned by all 9 Justices. Without the appeal to the US Supreme Court, Shenna Bellows move to disqualify Trump from the ballot would set a precedent, where other States will do the same.

This self proclaimed “Defender of Democracy” is everything but that, She cites Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, a provision that prohibits those who “engaged in insurrection” from holding office, an amendment that was intended to keep former Confederate officials from gaining power in the reconstructed government.

The problem for Shenna Bellows is, there was NO insurrection on January 6th, NOT one person including Donald Trump was charged or found guilty of insurrection, Special Counsel Jack Smith who’s going after Trump on other charges did NOT charge the Former President with insurrection, No charge, No conviction, only an assumption by a liberal Trump hating fascist who has no respect for Democracy.

Democrats, RINO Republicans and propagandist networks like CNN and MSNBC can claim all they want that Trump committed insurrection, saying it doesn’t make it true, especially when the evidence doesn’t support it. Shenna Bellows joins growing list of Democrats who are using any and all means to bar Trump from receiving the Republican nomination, that their end game, and they’re using gray areas of the law and the US Constitution to achieve that goal, blatantly undermining the will of the people and American Democracy.

The basic meaning of the word “Democracy” is defined in the Merriam-Webster dictionary as;

“a form of government in which people choose leaders by voting”

In this case, “Democracy Defender” Shenna Bellows did the voting FOR the people, where she herself decided who can be on the State ballot and who cant. Her move to disqualify a Presidential candidate deprived the voters of Maine of their right to vote for the candidate of their choice, this is what authoritarians do.
